Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Simorgh Run is operated by the Simorgh Bridge Foundation, a Canadian nonprofit. This policy describes what we collect when you use the Simorgh Run iOS app and this website, and how we use it.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address, display name, and optional profile details (full name, country, city, avatar photo, birth date, phone number) that you choose to provide.
- Location and run data: when you start a run, the app records your GPS route, distance, pace, and time. Location is used only while you run, to map your route and measure distance. Your runs and routes are private to your account and are not shared publicly.
- Event registrations: when you register for a charity run event, we store your registration, chosen distance, and payment status. Payments are processed by external payment providers; we do not store card numbers.
- Leaderboards: if you complete an event run, your display name, country (if provided), avatar, and finish time appear on that event’s public leaderboard. Your GPS route is never published.
How we use it
- To provide run tracking, history, personal records, and badges.
- To manage event registrations and payments.
- To operate event leaderboards.
- To respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account). Deletion removes your profile, runs, routes, badges, and unpaid registrations. Records of paid event registrations are retained in anonymized form for the foundation’s bookkeeping, with your personal details removed.
Data storage
Data is stored with Google Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Storage, Firebase Authentication). Standard service logs may be processed in the United States and other regions where Google operates.

This is a plain-language summary policy for the app’s initial release; it will be expanded as the app evolves.
